C5/6 A broad based disc protusion with vertebral endplate osteophytes? - osteophytes more condition_treatment

Results in patients with moderate stenosis, central spinal canal (8 mm diameter of the dural sac AP) and from right to left steosis moderately severe and moderate foraminal ..
C7-T1 disk protrusion of a small broad-based, works with endplate osteophytes largest in the area of the holes on the left side, causing a mild stenosis of the left foramen. Forminal bilateral perineural cyst / deverticula nerve root sheath, there was a certain level of C6-C7 levels and c7/t1.
Are some of these concerns?

  1. Results of the MRI alone should not be a reason for all the surgeons on your spine. Many people have similar changes in the spine, as they age. The key is whether you have symptoms, which have probably caused by such anomalies in their investigation. When neck pain is the symptom that to have it, an MRI is an operation likely to have little effect on the neck pain have caused. If you have problems prevent weakness in the hands, stabbing pain in the arms, difficulty walking or difficulty controlling bowel or bladder surgery in May and then help more, or at least progressing symptoms. Even without the review of images from the scanner, it is impossible to say how bad these changes have been made. What is "moderate" stenosis, exactly? Such as 8 mm was obtained measurement? (Several studies have shown that such measures are very inconsistent and not well correlated with the severity of symptoms or a possibility of improvement after surgery.) No one will be in a position to determine such things, orSee Internet. But most importantly, the symptoms if you have and whether or not recognized, can be explained by the changes identified in their analysis.

You should be able to consult the doctor, the analysis, the first, and you and your doctor decide what is the right step and will follow your specific situation requested.

  2. C5-6 is disturbing. The understanding of the spinal cord can be left with permanent damage.
Do you have a weakness in the arm or leg, or partial paralysis?
You may also experience bowel / bladder problems.
A neurosurgeon will be resolved in the near future.
The C6-7 duct cysts of the nerve root, the accessories. (I have never had a problem, and people know that they are rare). And do not hinder the function of the spinal cord.

C7-T1 is a bulging disc yet, but can be changed later ... when a herniated disc.
Some neurosurgeons are both C5-C6 and C7-T1 repair, while others do not.

In my experience, the surgical neck of the cervix are much better tolerated and have better results than lumbar surgery.

Just so you know, does not require surgery in herniated disc. The body will heal this too, takes about a year. But more than likely stenosis repair, because of the increased risk of nerve damage

    Hope this helps.

  3. Perineural cysts are usually nothing to worry.
Cervical stenosis 8mm concern. Someone must have been worried if the MRI is cited. Take his advice. This is not something that goes by itself. You could end up bad, if the rear end. We recommend you consult a neurosurgeon if you have not done.
